What's involved:
Every day at ReLove, there are many stories of generosity, kindness, and impact, from the businesses and people donating furniture, time, and effort that stock ReLove’s warehouse to the volunteer staff from all walks of life that keep this huge operation running.
As our Creative Communications Lead, you will be at the helm of our storytelling and community engagement. You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, developing innovative communication strategies, and ensuring our message resonates with diverse audiences.
This will involve:
- Understanding the key drivers of the charity and social enterprise to anticipate how creative communications and storytelling can help serve this.
- Spending time building rapport with the founders and wider ReLove team to uncover 100's of small moments and stories that can be captured and shared with the community.
- Rapidly produce creative content each week to engage the community, particularly for social channels such as Instagram and LinkedIn, including impact reporting, speech writing, presentations, grants and op eds.
- Communicating stories, strategy, and impact through creative mediums and in the relevant tone of voice for different stakeholders (for funders and the board, as well as individuals that might become volunteers, donors, or future customers of the social enterprise store).
- Collaborating with the team to set and then leading a creative communications strategy that elevates ReLove's brand and social impact.
- Leading and coordinating key community engagement activities, such as producing impact reports and materials, organising flagship annual fundraising events end-to-end, and developing partnerships.
Key criteria:
- 🎨 Creative Storyteller: A natural storyteller with a knack for creating compelling and impactful narratives. You think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table, with a bias for action (ie. get the content done).
- 📜 Excellent Communicator: You have a high standard of creative and precise written and verbal communication skills. You're confident to jump from crafting a newsletter, preparing a deck or keynote presentation, through to editing a video reel, posting on instagram; this will all be in a day's work for you.
- 🧩️ Strategic Thinker: You have a strategic mindset and can see the big picture while managing the details and aligning new updates in a quickly evolving context.
- 📱 Digitally Savvy: You're experienced in producing engaging content across various digital tools and platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram.
- 🔧 Entrepreneurial Mindset: You’ll be excited to unlock a toolkit you’ve built through being someone that jumps into projects and gets things done. - 🔗 Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. You’re open to feedback and eager to work with others to achieve common goals.
- 💜 Impact-Driven: Passionate about social impact and committed to making a difference. You’re motivated by our mission and excited to contribute to meaningful change.
