Why you might love this opp:
We believe every young woman deserves the chance to rise, thrive, and write her story.
We're a charity with heart, grit, and a mission to empower vulnerable young women to rise above their circumstances and step boldly into independence. Through groundbreaking, evidence-based programs, we create safe, supportive spaces where women aged 17-25+ can break free from survival mode and discover their power, potential, and purpose.
In 2025 weâre expanding to Newcastle, and weâre looking for a passionate Program Facilitator to join our growing organisation. Could it be you?
- đ Facilitator of connections: Supported by the Regional Program Manager and as lead facilitator of the Newcastle program, youâll help young women facing challenges like family estrangement, out-of-home care, and school disengagement find their footing. By creating safe spaces and meaningful mentor connections, youâll help them build resilience, life skills, and the confidence to thrive.
- đ Values-driven leadership: Guided by Jessica Brown - an advocate with 20+ years of mentoring expertise - Warrior Woman is powered by care, integrity, and hope. Backed by Coca-Cola, LâOrĂŠal, and $1,350,000 of in-kind mentoring from incredible volunteers, our bold programs deliver real change for young women.
- đż Deep impact: Within 12 months of leaving out-of-home care, 50% of young people face homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, or become first-time parents. Young women are 10 times more likely to have their children removed, continuing a deeply entrenched cycle. With 150+ young women already supported, the Warrior Woman Foundation acts as a circuit breaker through mentorship and positive guidance.
- đ Engagement gem: Youâre not just a program facilitator - youâre a natural connector with the ability to navigate big-picture goals and tiny details all at once. You know how to read the room, build trust, and keep things moving, whether itâs pairing mentors and mentees, managing workshops, or bringing a calm, steady presence to moments that matter. In this role, youâll use your skills to create safe, supportive spaces where young women can build resilience, grow their confidence, and step into independence.
- đ§ Zig zaggers welcome: This org gets that experience comes in many forms - maybe youâve studied psychology, social work, or human services. Maybe youâve mentored young people, supported trauma recovery, or grown through volunteering. We want to hear how your experiences, stitched together, can help shift the needle for young women in the Hunter.
- đ Flexibility meets purpose: This 10-month contractor role (March - December 2025) in the Hunter region combines set program hours and 6 - 12 flexible, work-from-home hours weekly. Perfect for balancing school drop-offs, side hustles, or study, youâll earn $50/hour (plus GST) and gain insight shadowing our Sydney team. With real impact and potential to grow beyond 2025, itâs meaningful work that fits your life.

More about The Warrior Woman Foundation
The Warrior Woman Foundation is tackling one of Australiaâs most overlooked challenges: supporting young women aged 17-25 as they transition out of the out-of-home care system. These women face adulthood without the safety nets most of us take for granted - no family support, no guiding hand.
Our 6-month, evidence-based program is more than support - itâs a launchpad. Blending mental health care, life skills, and financial literacy, we build resilience and independence in young women ready to take on the world. Each cohort of 30 is paired with dedicated mentors and plugged into a thriving alumni network that keeps the momentum going long after the program ends.
Since day one, weâve empowered 150 young women to boost their confidence, belonging, and financial smarts. At Warrior Woman, we donât just provide guidance - we help young women rewrite their stories and shape their futures.
